Below mentioned are some positive actions
to manage emotions:
Take control of your mind
We should control our imaginations as the imaginations put the effect
on our emotions. Our negative imaginations and thoughts reflect our
emotions. So, to accomplish this we should behave well with others,
remain positive and be thankful to Almighty Allah. We must have spent
our daily life with smiling it is a very effective way to get rid of
negative emotion and also it is the Sunnah of Holy Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH). An effective way to get rid of evil thoughts is to recite Surah
Al- Falaq and Surah Al-Nasr. Try to practice positive thinking,
patience, and Tawakkal.
Remember Allah Almighty
Remember Allah (SWT) who is the Creator of this universe and provides
Rizk to his creatures. Do dhikr, because it keeps your heart alive. For
example, you can read Kalimah Tawhid and Surah Al-Ikhlas when you are
feeling bad or angry. You can also recite Ayat Al-Kursi when you are
happy and perform sujud when you hear good news. Thus, by remembering
Allah, you would control your emotions.
Practice Forgiveness
The best way to deal with your emotions is to let it go, move on your
way and do not drag your emotions to rule you. Actually, you are
hurting yourself when you allow bad emotions to rule you. So, practice
Forgiveness will benefit you and others and make a good environment. In
the Holy Quran, it is stated that:” And those who avoid the major sins
and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive” [Qur’an:
Chapter 42, Verse 37]
Follow the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Our beloved prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the most stable personality in
the history of mankind. We as Muslims should follow the Sunnah of
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and follow the Seerah to get rewards and
blessing and this would also lead to control of our negative emotions.
When Muslims won the battle of Badr and returned home, the Prophet
(PBUH) was informed that His daughter had passed away. He (SAW) did not
highlight His sorrow; He (SAW) did not mourn on it. Prophet (PBUH) let
the Muslims celebrate the victory. However, during the conquest of
Makkah, He (SAW) did not get carried away by vindictiveness or elation.
His head was down, He (PBUH) was remembering Allah Almighty and He (SAW)
granted everyone a general amnesty.
So, we should manage our time, communicate with others honestly to
deal with our negative emotions. Attend the company of Good Behavior
people so that our habits change accordingly. Have a strong belief in
Almighty Allah and be thankful to Almighty Allah in all circumstances.
In this way, we can deal with our negative emotions with the teachings
of Islam.
